Lyric von Berkun is a beautiful 18 month old German Shepherd. Per his own words, “Hi! My name is Lyric. You might notice me immediately because I am the boy with the silkiest jet black coat. Everyone says I’m stunning and that makes me smile a little, but then I wonder why I am sleeping in the kennels instead of a warm bed with my own family to love. I might be young but I am low-to- mid energy because I am still new to the kennels and quite overwhelmed. I do like when a kind volunteer takes me out and hangs out with me away from the barking dogs, and I do warm up pretty quickly! I can be loving and really like to be petted from my head to my tail, and hope you’ll give me the chance and get to know me. I am a bit stiff with other dogs, not sure what their intentions are yet, but I do relax after awhile and try to avoid problems in the playgroups. I think that, if I were in a home and am socialized a little more, I would be a really great, well-rounded dog (that’s what they told me anyway)!
